Qstick - Bluetooth Headsets
Qstik Bluetooth range, improving driver safety and audio experiences
At a time when the world was becoming more connected (but the dangers of driving and using a mobile loomed), Alloy were tasked with creating a safe, comfortable and efficient headset for their target market to use. At the time Clement Clarke has access to world leading noise cancelling technology that has been developed for military use. We were involved in every stage of the design process, from research phases to packaging design direction.
Countless prototypes were made in order to perfect the product experience and maintain the highest level of comfort for the user during any period of time. The client was supported throughout the start-up design process from developing their initial brief, exploring a range of concepts that were eventually engineered for manufacture and sold for production.
Following the success of the previous product line, we were tasked with developing the brand and creating a product that expanded into the audio market. Multiple concepts were explored until we reached a form that would allow for optimum audio and voice performance in scenarios of daily life and exercise. We pushed for round the neck support for the device - a style that’s become more and more common in recent years. The main am for the client was to create an aspirational high end headset that would sit comfortably within the premium market.
This phase of work for the client was a two week design push in order to show to the client ways in which they were able to expand their brand and audience into. We took joint risk with the client in order to try bring this idea to market.
