Children's Independent Watch
Brief
Designed for children aged 10 to 14, Loop bridges the gap between childhood and independence-giving kids a sense of ownership and autonomy while helping parents stay connected and reassured. Alloy was tasked with designing a wearable that balances fun, safety, and real-world practicality for families who aren’t ready to hand over a smartphone. With location awareness, safe messaging, and a virtual boundary system, the device allows parents to monitor activity within a defined perimeter and receive alerts when kids move outside it. The modular hardware clips easily into either a watch strap or pendant necklace, giving kids personal expression and comfort in how they wear it. Customisable watch faces, colours, and digital accessories make it feel like their own.

More than a safety tool, Loop is a stylish, digital sidekick that kids actually want to wear. From school days to weekend adventures, it helps them navigate their world with confidence-while parents remain quietly in the loop. The intuitive interface allows for simple messaging, time-telling, and directional prompts, while the interchangeable form factor gives kids the freedom to switch between wrist or necklace wear. The result is a beautiful blend of personal identity, digital curiosity, and real-world reassurance-designed to grow with them, not control them.
