Brief
Alloy designed Aqua Optima’s Perfect Pour filter jug as a compact, ergonomic solution for everyday water filtration. A balanced handle and precision spout support a smooth, spill-free pour, while the front-sliding lid makes refilling quick and simple. Available in two sizes to suit different households, Perfect Pour fits neatly into most fridge doors and uses Aqua Optima’s fast-flow 5-step filters. Dishwasher safe and recyclable via TerraCycle, it combines usability, sustainability, and premium form.
Outcome: Fridge-friendly filter jug design optimised for clean pouring, fast refills, and production readiness across two size variants.

Perfect Pour, providing high-quality water filtration
Perfect Pour was designed with a combination of forward-thinking aesthetics, ergonomics, and sustainability in mind, making it a pleasure to use and environmentally friendly. One of the key features of Perfect Pour is its unique design. The jug has an ergonomically designed handle which makes it comfortable to lift and control when full, and a spout that has been carefully crafted to ensure a smooth and controlled pour. This makes it easier to pour water and also helps to reduce spills and splashes. With its innovative front sliding lid, filling up the jug is easy – no more fumbling with awkward flip-top openings. The jug can be easily disassembled for cleaning and is top-rack dishwasher safe.
Available in 3.6l and 2.4l sizes, Perfect Pour’s stylish, the slimline design allows it to be stored inside most fridge doors with plenty of capacity for regular use. The jug uses Aqua Optima’s advanced 5-step fast flow filters, which are 100% recyclable using the free TerraCycle program. The jug has a sleek and contemporary look, and it is available in two colours to suit different tastes and preferences. These features combine to make Perfect Pour a truly unique and innovative design.
Alloy was able to provide valuable input and guidance during the design and development process. Alloy refined the design of the jug across multiple stages, from early sketches through to developed prototypes, to create a water jug that is both stylish and practical. Perfect Pour is a great example of how design and ergonomics can work together to create a product that is not only functional but also a pleasure to use.
