Brief
Aqua Optima asked Alloy to design a user-friendly filtered water dispenser to expand their home filtration range. The result was Perfect Pour: an 8.2L dispenser designed for countertop use and sized to fit in a fridge.
The design focuses on everyday usability, including an ergonomic refillable jug, a sliding hopper for easier filling, and simple disassembly for cleaning and maintenance. Paired with the Evolve+ 5-step filter, the system delivers fast-flow filtered water while supporting reduced single-use plastic.
Outcome: Fridge-fit, countertop-ready filtered water dispenser design developed for prototyping and manufacturing readiness.

Following the successful launch of the Filter Jug, Alloy set about designing Perfect Pour; an 8.2L water dispenser to grow Aqua Optima’s range of filtration products. The Perfect Pour dispenser boasts a sleek and space-saving design that fits perfectly on your countertop or in your fridge.
One of the key features of Perfect Pour is its unique design. The dispenser comes with a refillable, ergonomic jug, complete with a slidable hopper to make it easier to fill. The dispenser can be easily disassembled for cleaning and is top-rack dishwasher safe. It comes with an easy-store stand to make it useable in both the fridge and on the countertop; a simple yet novel feature in the water dispenser market.
Perfect Pour delivers speedy 5-step filtration and exceptional taste, thanks to its patented Evolve+ filter cartridges. The unique formulation reduces high levels of limescale and chlorine, greatly improving the taste and aroma of drinks, while the layer of ultra-fine mesh gives extra clarity to filtered water, improving the look and taste of cooked vegetables.

Prototype + Development
Driven by real-world issues that customers face with current water dispensing products, Alloy were able to provide solutions through innovative concept design. An iterative prototype-and-test process then helped to evolve the initial concept into a product that provides genuine value to its user, while also fulfilling its commercial objectives.
