Creating a step-change in UX identity strategy

AVID Technology are a leading provider of video editing and asset management software, supplying some of the world’s largest news & sports broadcasters and major post-production specialists.

Their MediaCentral Platform through the MediaCentral | Cloud UX browser-based product enables a suite of tools for different workflows. Alloy were part of a team involved in a radical redesign of the platform, aiming to reduce training, improve software speed and ultimately increase market share by creating an intuitive and efficient user experience.

Working with AVID and their customers we applied a task focused approach to reduce the visual noise and simplify the UI. Using familiar interaction paradigms and defining an efficient set of workspaces we could simplify workflows, combining this with clear levels of information hierarchy users are now able to focus on the content they are working with. Alloy won the work for AVID off the back of our previous relationship with Grass Valley.
