Brief
Nextbase commissioned Alloy to design the iQ, a next-generation connected dash camera that redefines in-car safety and intelligence. The product combines 4K video capture, AI-powered incident detection, voice control, and built-in 4G connectivity, all managed through a companion mobile app. The goal was to create a device that feels simple to use, premium in appearance, and seamlessly integrated into any vehicle.
Outcome: A fully defined connected dash-camera platform with industrial design, user interface architecture, and mobile-app experience developed for global production and launch.

The Nextbase iQ is not just a 4G Dash Cam; it's a bona fide prodigy that provides cutting-edge smart connected car technology to any car, new or old. The iQ gives a 540-degree view of any viechle whether its locked away or during driving, an additional supporting rear camera provides full coverage to any car. Built-in 4G SIM allows for location data and live video to be accessed through the handy iQ app, this is the core platform for users to access their cars security and keep peace of mind.
Alloy has been developing iQ with Nextbase over the last year from initial concept development, right through into manufacture. Alongside this the development of the iQ app took place in order to create a seamless product experience from setup to daily use.
